Most people wait for perfect conditions to take a leap.
They plan the business, the fitness plan, the family move
They wait for everything to feels safe, predictable, and "right”
But the moment life throws them a curveball?
They hesitate.
They stall.
They start telling themselves stories like:
“Now’s not the right time.”
“Maybe next year.”
“I’ll go all in when things settle down.”
Not because they’re weak. But because they’ve only ever learned how to move forward when the plan holds together.
Well let me tell you something about Chattanooga 70.3…
Nothing went according to plan.
Two days before the race, we got the announcement:
“The swim is canceled. Unsafe river conditions.”
Months of training. Strategy. Visualization.
Suddenly it all felt irrelevant.
And you could feel the tension in the air:
– The first timers felt robbed of their experience.
– The comeback stories lost their redemption arc.
– The PR chasers felt like their effort wouldn’t “count”
Everything felt off…
Except our team.
Because we had a decision to make.
And we made it together.
No complaints. No dramatics. Just one question:
“How do we want to respond?”
We gathered. We held space. We sat with the disappointment.

Emergency Mindset Session after the cancelled swim announcement
And then we flipped the switch.
We decided to lean in — and rise up — together.
Time-trial bike start? Let’s go.
No swim? More energy to hunt each other down.
Chaos all around us? Even better. Let’s get sharper.
That’s when we made a new decision:
We weren’t racing against conditions.
We were racing for who we were becoming.
That mindset? It changed everything.
It helped our athletes cross a new threshold.
They didn’t just hold their commitment to a race —
They became stronger. Clearer. More powerful.
And now I want to ask you something:
Is this the shift you’ve been waiting for?
Have you been holding out for perfect conditions?
Waiting for the timing to be “right”?
Or are you ready to become the type of person who moves forward — no matter the conditions?
Because tomorrow, I’m going to give you that opportunity.
To race with a tribe.
To get out of your head.
To prove something to yourself you’ll never forget.
But today, I’ll leave you with this:
The magic doesn’t come from perfection.
It comes from how you respond when life rewrites the script.

That first 70.3 Finish Line feeling!!!
More tomorrow.
